Description

This is an antique 19th century Beech & Hancock teapot. Not sure if its accurate to call this earthenware or porcelain but ceramic pot is the "Pekin" pattern. Teapot comes with its lid. Measures approximately 5 1/3" tall and has a lovely scene of Asian men in a garden. There is the number "728" on the bottom. This teapot is quite pretty; creamy white background and a pretty and colorful scene. Handle, lid, and spout are similarly colorful. All in all, for its age, this is in good condition. Does have several small, thin cracks in interior on bottom; one is especially prominent as shown in photos. This larger crack is also visible on the exterior bottom. There are also some tiny, spidery type cracks/crazing around small holes in pot where tea enters spout. There are also some very tiny chips/fleabite sized nicks/roughness along top rim of pot and on underside rim of lid. This is a beautiful display piece. Wonderful color.
