ORIG NOS US ARMY 1944-DATED DOGTAG BEAD CHAIN, NEW IN ORIG PACKAGE, "BEAD CHAIN"

Description

This is a set of 1944-dated original U.S. Army WWII dog tag chains (long chain and shorter chain for second dogtag), never used, in the original envelope. The chains were made by the "Bead Chain Manufacturing Company" of Bridgeport, Connecticut. The chain is steel, the package is a small envelope (2 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches) of tan paper. The package is marked on one side with with "Necklace -- Identification Tag with Extension" and an illustration of the chain with dogtags attached. On the other side it is printed with: "THE BEAD CHAIN MFG. CO., BRIDGEPORT, CONN. U.S. 1944," along with illustrated instructions on how to use the chain.  The envelope or package containing the chain has a flap that is sealed with a small steel staple.  In the photos I show one of the sets of chains from another package, to illustrate the appearance of the chains. This auction is for a dogtag chain still sealed in its original envelope since 1944. *********** The dogtag chain is in mint condition, never used, never taken from the package.
