Description
This is a named United States Army Good Conduct medal. It has the original slot type brooch and original ribbon drape. The planchet is in good condition and the reverse is officially impressed "PETER/LUPAN".Mr. Lupan was born in Ohio, on July 12, 1912. He registered for the draft while living in Cleveland, on October 16, 1940 and enlisted with the Army on June 30, 1941, listing his occupation as "Policeman and detective". He was honorable discharged as a Staff Sergeant and awarded this Good Conduct medal. He died on April 30 2001, at Mascoutah, IL., and is buried at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, in St. Louis, MO.
I assume that he was also eligible for the American Defense Service medal, the WW2 Victory medal and at least one campaign medal, but if issued, the whereabouts are unknown.
I will provide a 2 page copy of his draft card registration, a copy of his enlistment records, a copy of his obituary, a copy of his Gravesite locator from the Dept of Veteran Affairs, and a copy of a picture of his headstone.
