    EAME Campaign Medal--Complete Set
    Original European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal set in original box, features as follows:
    [1] Full size medal, crimp style brooch, pinback with safety catch.
    [2] Service ribbon, crimp style brooch, pinback with safety catch, part of the complete set.
    [3] Service ribbon, wartime production [crimp style zinc plated steel brooch, pinback with safety catch]. Has one silver, one bronze campaign star, and one bronze invasion arrow head device.
    [4] Two campaign star devices, one bronze, one silver.
    [5] Original blue paper issue box with contract label on one end, mfg by MEDALLIC ART CO. New York.
    No wear, fading, fraying, or other damage to medal or ribbons. Note that ribbon [3] has had the devices mounted on backwards, a common wartime mistake. Tape wear to top part of box lid, otherwise undamaged. While the medal itself was not authorized until 1948, the ribbon itself was authorized in 1942 and issued throughout the war. WW2-style contract number indicates this is probably an early production medal from the late 40s-early 50s. Nice clean example of the most popular WW2 US campaign medal and is in excellent condition.
