    Description

This is a very nice WWII Bronze Star medal grouping attributed to a 36th Infantry Division veteran. This grouping is attributed to S/Sgt. James W. Sheppard from the state of Texas. S/Sgt. Sheppard served in the 142nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion, Company L. He was awarded the Bronze Star medal for actions on June 5, 1944 in Italy. He was also awarded 2 Silver Star medals during World War II; I do not have these medals.
    This grouping includes the following:
    - Bronze Star medal (not engraved) with ribbon bar
    - American Campaign medal
    - American Defense Service medal
    - WWII Victory medal
    - Combat Infantryman Badge (marked Sterling on back)
    - 36th Infantry Division patch
    - original citation for the Bronze Star medal
    - photocopy of 2 pictures of S/Sgt. Sheppard (not shown; I found these when researching this veteran)
Please note that the riker case/mount in the pictures is not included with this grouping. Overall, the items are in good, used condition. They show signs of wear. Please see pictures to judge the condition of these items. This grouping would make an excellent addition to any World War II collection. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.
